For the Green House Cat, flying in a carrier is worse than flying coach, but our editor-in-chief will be flying back to his home state of Oklahoma later this week anyway. We thought it would be a good idea to talk about the protocols for flying with your pet. The Humane Society of the U.S. has a though and concise article on the "official" policies of the major airlines.

Before you book your flight it's a good idea to contact your vet and obtain a certificate of good health.
Welcome to The Green House Cat. Our editor and content director Toby is an American DHS who loves birds, windows and girls who pet him. Our chief researcher and writer is his companion human, Cherie. Please e-mail us with tips on: cats, pet care, environmental housekeeping, environmental policy, environmental news.
